Easter is early this year, and with the holiday comes lots of fun activities for everyone in the whole family. There are plenty of family-friendly Easter events and egg hunts in Yakima for folks of all ages to celebrate the springtime holiday in 2024!

Mt Olive Lutheran Church hosts “Easter Egg-Straviganza!”

7809 Tieton Drive, Yakima

Are you looking for an event for the kiddos? Mt Olive Lutheran Church is hosting its Easter Egg-Straviganza event on Saturday, March 30, starting at 10 a.m.

The church will host a traditional easter egg hunt, other fun, celebratory activities such as crafts, and a special Gospel Scavenger hunt that will take the children through a lesson about Jesus and his resurrection. There will also be snacks!

Easter Lamb Paint Party at 5th Line Brewing Co.

1015 E Lincoln Avenue, Ste 106, Yakima

For a different way to celebrate Easter and springtime, 5th Line Brewing Co. in Yakima and Paint The Town Events will host an Easter Paint Party on Sunday, March 24, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The event is for ages nine and up. Bring you or your kiddos down to paint an adorable picture of a lamb and celebrate Easter by being creative and sharpening your artistic skills!

5th Line Brewing Co. suggests that those who wish to participate come early to ensure a seat. While you’re waiting for the fun to begin, try some local beers or ciders! 5th Line has a fun atmosphere and a wide variety of drinks to choose from.

Tickets for this event are $29, and all supplies are provided for participating artists. Even though this is a guided painting class, artists are encouraged to add their own flair to their pieces and make them extra special.

Yakima Harman Senior Center Egg Hunt and Breakfast at Gailleon Park

101 N 65th Avenue, Yakima

The Yakima Harman Senior Center will offer an Easter egg hunt and pancake breakfast at Gailleon Park on Saturday, March 23, from 9 to 11 a.m. The breakfast is from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and the egg hunt is included with the purchase of breakfast.

Pre-registration for all easter egg hunters and breakfast enthusiasts is required. Those wishing to attend can stop by the Harman Senior Center’s front desk at the address listed above or call the Harman Center at 509.575.6166 to register for the event.

Yakima Parks and Rec Easter Egg Hunt and Candy Dash

LOCATION TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON

Yakima Parks and Recreation invites the community to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 23. This event is BYOB (Bring your own basket), so make sure all your little egg hunters have their baskets for this fun Eastertime activity.

The day promises music, candy, and pictures with the Easter Bunny! Those who wish to participate in the egg hunt must pre-register for a specific visitation time. On the day of the event, participants are expected to check in 15 minutes before their scheduled time.

For those wishing to register their children, there is a participation fee of $5 for children under three and $8 for children 4-11. The Easter egg hunt begins at noon.

There will be two groups for the Candy Dash at special times. For children 4-6 years old, the candy dash begins at 12:50 p.m., and for children 7-11 years old, it begins at 1:40 p.m.
