The intricate sport of golf has been played worldwide since it began hundreds of years ago, starting all the way back in the 1450s, to be precise. And it’s come a long way since those humble times, with the rules of the game finally being written in 1744 by the Honorable Company of Edinburgh Golfers. These rules, known as the Thirteen Articles, went on to be adopted by more than 30 clubs over the next 100 years. From there, they became the universal rules of the sport many know and love today. These local golf courses in the beautiful Yakima community are here to help us enjoy the brilliant sport of golf.
