Yakima Valley has no shortage of local restaurants and bars, many featuring delicious and impressive takes on farm-fresh ingredients and unique flavor combinations. If you’d like to enjoy a handcrafted beverage sans alcohol but don’t want to order something off-menu, you’re in luck. Several fan-favorite cocktail bars and restaurants in the Yakima area pay equal attention to crafting the perfect mocktail.

Cowiche Canyon

Cowiche Canyon, an upscale American tavern, takes pride in making their menu from scratch every day, and this attention to detail and quality shows in every dish or drink you order. Try their Fig 75, a zero-proof lemon and fig cocktail with house-made syrups and garnishes, or sip on the mocktail version of Farm Water, a sweet and tart muddle of basil and raspberries over ginger beer.

The icehouse also offers the Green Juice Fizz, a light and refreshing drink that blends lime with celery and cucumber juice, as a mocktail, so there’s something for every palate if you’re giving Cowiche Canyon a try.

Provisions Restaurant + Market

Since Provisions Restaurant + Market opened in 2018, owners Lindsay and Amy have created a sanctuary for local food, beverages, and handcrafted merchandise from small businesses around the valley. If you’re stopping for a bite to eat at Provisions, be sure to try one of their signature alcohol-free mocktails.

The Cranberry Ginger Cooler mixes cranberry simple syrup with ginger beer for a smooth and sweet sip, while the Pirate “Mule” blends pineapple with notes of lime and mint in a take on the traditional mule.

Crafted

Building off of owners Dan and Mollie Koommoo’s love of community, your meal when you visit Crafted is designed to be enjoyed with company. You’ll want to order your own drinks, though, to best appreciate the variety and authenticity in each of their recipes.

While the menu changes seasonally to feature the freshest ingredients, the current mocktails offered include a house-made grapefruit soda, a specialty horchata, and a beach-inspired pineapple and lime mocktail topped with shaken egg whites for a silky finish.

Fuego Margarita Bar

Whether you’re looking for a lounge-style experience to enjoy with friends or a restaurant for the whole family, Fuego Margarita Bar is the place to be. Try the Fresca Colada, a non-alcoholic take on the traditional beverage, or choose from a variety of fresh fruits as a base for your virgin margarita or daiquiri.

WaterFire Restaurant

Jim and Gail Davis, along with their son and executive chef Derrin Davis, create an atmosphere for both weeknight outings and special occasions at WaterFire Restaurant. Outside of their extensive and seasonally-inspired menu, WaterFire also offers some delicious non-alcoholic drinks for everyone to enjoy.

The Blackberry Coconut No-Jito is the perfect mix of muddled mint and berries, along with coconut creme and a classic splash of lime. Or, if you’re looking for a sweeter sip, try an Italian Cream Soda or Lychee Raspberry Punch with a splash of orange juice to brighten things up.

No matter where you go, these local havens will have a drink for everyone. Enjoy the taste of the freshest ingredients combined with the passion of Yakima’s chefs and bartenders, and find your new favorite mocktail along the way. Cheers!
